J. Rosalie Twohey has a 38 year career in the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands. She started as a CPA in 1986 with KPMG (fmr. Peat Marwick Mitchell) and continued in financial reporting roles for Class A banks until 2009 where she began a long career with Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Ltd services as Head of Client Accounting and Head of Institutional Business until 2018. She served as the Deputy Managing Director of a Class A bank, Cainvest Bank and Trust Ltd. During this time she pursued a Masters in Law (LLM) from the University of Liverpool. Upon successful completion of her LLM, with distinction, Rosalie worked as a Compliance Generalist at Butterfield Bank in order to observe and participate in the application of International AML/CFT and financial crime standards in the Cayman Islands. During that period she also completed a Diploma in Financial Crime issued by the International Compliance Association.

In addition to her LLM, Rosalie possesses an MBA from the University of Liverpool (2011) and a BSc (Cum Laude) in Accounting from Howard University (1984).
