CIIPA is committed to serving the Cayman Islands community and supporting the growth of the financial services industry. As an organisation it is important to ensure young Caymanians are given the tools they need to succeed through their primary and secondary school experiences. We feel strongly that we have the opportunity, and the obligation to support the education system in these efforts. That's why we work with governmental and non-governmental agencies to provide financial and human capital support.
CIIPA is pleased to offer its mentoring programme, providing opportunities for members to share their knowledge and experience with students launching their accounting careers.
Registration for the next cohort is expected in June of 2020.
We invite CIIPA members, through the Careers and Mentoring programme, to use your wealth of experience to help young accountants launch their careers. In addition to sharing your creativity, experience and knowledge; mentors will also be able to develop coaching and leadership skills by attending free training workshops designed for volunteer mentors.
One initiative that has become very special to our membership is the Numeracy Volunteer Programme. This programme supports teachers in primary school mathematics classes across Grand Cayman. In this programme, volunteers are matched with a primary school class where they spend an hour a week working directly with students during maths lessons.
