While auditors focus on the accounting framework, actuaries play a critical role in ensuring that the underlying assumptions and calculations are sound. In Life & Annuity, this involves reviewing mortality, lapse, and expense assumptions, as well as validating policy data and reserve calculations. In Property & Casualty, actuaries evaluate claim patterns, loss development, and reserve methodologies to confirm they align with historical experience and current expectations. This session will provide a detailed look at how actuarial expertise integrates into the audit process, offering a clear view of how these professionals help present a reliable and transparent financial picture.
