Hedge Funds IFRS/US GAAP Updates

This annual update is being presented over two sessions.

Presenter: Joel Dodson, Partner KPMG - Head of Risk Consulting in the Cayman Islands and leader of the Accounting Advisory Services group. Joel focuses on providing ISAE 3402/SSAE 18 services for hedge fund administrators, financial reporting and Form PF services for hedge funds, and Basel II consulting services for the banking industry.

Learning Objective: To understand the accounting requirements applicable to hedge funds under US GAAP and IFRS and their impact on the financial statement presentation.

On 16 December from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mike Baker presents changes to US GAAP and IFRS Standards that will be applicable for 2020 financial statement, and Common Reporting Issues: IFRS & US GAAP. 

Presenter: Michael Baker, Audit Senior Manager, PwC - A senior manager in the Cayman Islands fund referred reporting engagement group, specialises exclusively in the audit of alternative investment funds. He has more than 10 years of professional experience with PwC in the Cayman Islands and the United Kingdom. He is a member of the PwC Cayman technical committee and co-authors PwC's Global Illustrative IFRS Financial Statements for Investment Funds.
