Description/Overview:
This course will provide a brief refresh on the basics of insolvency procedures in the Cayman Islands while exploring some of the more advanced and complicated aspects of a liquidation process and the challenges faced working in an offshore jurisdiction.

To provide an understanding of the basic principles and processes of liquidations in the Cayman Islands and an overview of some of the more advanced scenarios arising in insolvency proceedings. James McGrath, Assistant Manager, R&H Restructuring James | James has worked as a restructuring accountant for over 8 years, working in the jurisdictions of Australia, UK and the Cayman Islands. His experience includes dealing with the trading of a number of businesses of varying size, investigating and pursuing bad actors for the recovery of assets through litigation, negotiating funding agreements, as well as producing a number of forensic accounting reports for clients.
Neema Griffin, Senior Manager, KPMG | Neema has over 14 years of insolvency experience with specialism in contentious and complex insolvencies, involving high value litigation, fraud investigations and international asset tracing, personal bankruptcies and fund insolvencies. Neema started her career in the UK and has been working in Cayman since 2015.
