Sue has been Auditor General in the Cayman Islands since July 2016 after leaving the UK National Audit Office's senior leadership team in London where she held financial and performance audit and corporate responsibilities. Prior to that Sue spent her career "on the other side" most recently as Director General Finance and Corporate Services in two UK Ministries in Whitehall. Sue is CIPFA qualified and was an elected member of their Council until leaving for Cayman.   

Since being in Cayman, Sue has served on the CAROSAI Executive Committee and has acted as CAROSAI’s representative on two INTOSAI Committees dealing with capacity building and professional standards. She served as a member of the INTOSAI Task Force that developed the Auditor Competency Framework recently adopted globally. Sue also serves a Board member of the Audit Oversight Authority and on CIIPA Committees.
