Marco Gaspar serves as the Director of Operations at the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA), a role he has held since February 2025.

With more than 38 years of experience in the financial services industry across Brazil and the Cayman Islands, Marco brings deep expertise in finance, operations, and controls. Prior to joining CIIPA, he held senior roles within an international private bank in the Cayman Islands, where he was responsible for key aspects of financial management and operational oversight.

Marco holds an MBA from the International College of the Cayman Islands and has completed an extension course in securities through the Canadian Securities Institute. He also holds a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the International Compliance Association and is an Accredited Director with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Canada (ICSA).

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
