Karen has overall responsibility for the business operations of the Maples Group's fund services business in the Americas. She has over 20 years of financial services experience, the majority of which has been in hedge fund and private equity fund administration. She has served as a director on several hedge fund boards and has extensive regulatory expertise. Prior to joining the Maples Group in 2006, she worked at Fortis Prime Fund Solutions (Cayman) Limited, Ernst and Young Cayman Islands, and Grant Thornton in Canada.

Karen graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Prince Edward Island. She is a member of the the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, Chair of the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association's FATCA/CRS/AML Committee and of the Cayman Islands Chapter of CPA Canada.
