Company Fee Adjustments Take Effect in the New Year
Grand Cayman, 21 October 2026 – The Ministry of Financial Services and Commerce advises the financial services industry that adjustments to certain company-related fees will take effect on 1 January 2027.
The Companies (Amendment of Schedule 5) (No.2) Order, 2026 was published on 16 October 2026, repealing and replacing the previous order to reflect the latest amendments to the annual company fees.
In particular, the new Order preserves the existing annual fees payable by ordinarily resident companies and special economic zone companies, while maintaining the CI$100 increase in annual fees for exempted companies, non-resident companies and foreign companies.
For ordinarily resident companies, the annual fees will therefore remain unchanged at CI$300 for companies with no registered capital or registered capital not exceeding CI$42,000, and CI$500 for companies with registered capital exceeding CI$42,000
In summary, the annual fee increases taking effect on 1 January 2027 apply only to specific company types, with no increase scheduled for ordinarily resident companies or special economic zone companies.
