Industry is advised that the following regulations for fee adjustments and new levies were published on 19 December. They will take effect on 1 January 2026 as announced previously.
- The Mutual Funds (Annual Returns) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025;
- Mutual Funds (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025;
- Private Funds (Annual Returns) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025;
- Private Funds (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025;
- Insurance (Application and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025;
- Banks and Trust Companies (Licence Applications and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2025;
- Accountants (Application for Membership (Amendment) Regulations, 2025.
After Parliament's approval of these amendments on 21 November, Cabinet approved the regulations last week. They introduce consolidated annual fees for mutual and private funds, and fee adjustments for the insurance, banking and accounting sectors.
