The Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants (CIIPA) last month made a charitable donation to Special Olympics Cayman Islands (SOCI), continuing its tradition of supporting local non-profits through its annual CIIPA Charity Golf Tournament.
The donation totalled KYD $9,000 and represents the funds raised at the event, which was held in December.
“We’ve been having this event for nearly 30 years now,” CIIPA Social Committee Chair Fareed Hosein said. “All of the proceeds go to local charities. It’s all for a good cause.”
SOCI provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, promoting inclusion, confidence and physical well-being across the Cayman Islands.
CIIPA extends its thanks to all tournament participants, sponsors and supporters whose contributions made the donation possible and helped raise funds for a cause that delivers meaningful impact within the Cayman Islands community.
